Dr. Rocky Tuan receives NIH award for Tissue Chip Modeling

The National Institute of Health (NIH) has awarded $15 million dollars to 13 research projects under the Tissue Chip for Disease Modeling and Efficacy Testing. The testing is meant to provide more precise modeling of various diseases and associated responses for drug development purposes by using 3-D microphysiological systems. Dr. Tuan’s research focuses on examining a microtissue model of human articular joints and was selected as one of the awardee projects by NIH. View Press Release »
