Veterans Health Foundatoin

Established in 1991, the Veterans Health Foundation conducts and supports extramural research and educational activities by collaborating with the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, private companies, government agencies, foundations, and academic institutions.

The Veterans Health Foundation is an independent, nonprofit corporation devoted to partnering with veterans and the VA Medical Centers in Pittsburgh & Wilkes-Barre, PA and Wilmington, DE in the name of enhancing clinical care through research and education. Though our focus is on medical research to benefit the country’s veterans, the resulting scientific breakthroughs extend to enhance the standard of care for all patients.

Uniformed Services University

Since 2013, CMMR has facilitated an Memorandum of Understanding between the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine (SOM) and the Uniformed Services University (USU), located in Bethesda, MD. USU seeks to educate health professionals from military and non-military backgrounds and prepare them for careers in the Department of Defense and the United States Public Health Service.
