On October 13, 2022, Drs. Mark Kortepeter and Laura Brosch of Uniformed Services University (USU) visited the University of Pittsburgh's Center for Military Medicine Research and School of Public Health to outline opportunities and partnerships between the University of Pittsburgh and the research programs at USU. Drs. Kortepeter and Brosch met with School of Public Heath Dean, Maureen Lichtveld, Associate Dean for Research Jeanine M. Buchanich, and Ernesto T. Marques, MD, PhD, Associate Professor, Infectious Diseases and & Microbiology to discuss current research topics. Our Director, Dr. Ron Poropatich facilitated the visit to help create greater awareness of the university's research programs that could align with the needs of the Uniformed Services University's infectious disease research programs.
