The inaugural effort by the Pittsburgh Regional Health Initiative to launch the Pittsburgh Regional Autonomous Patient Safety (RAPS) Initiative to establish Pittsburgh as a global hub for developing autonomous patient safety technologies.
There were four breakout sessions:
- Patient Safety R&D and Opportunities for Collaboration
- Commercialized Solutions
- Opportunities for Medical Specialty Breakthroughs
- Federal Safety Priorities
There were six University of Pittsburgh faculty involved in the panel presentations and discussions as well as the Center for Military Medicine Research (CMMR), involved as a sponsor of the meeting.
