The Center for Military Medicine Research was instrumental in helping to organize Pittsburgh Hires Veterans (PHV). Currently, Ron Poropatich MD (Col/Ret/US Army) is on the Board of Directors of PHV. The mission of PHV is gainful employment for every veteran. They accomplish this by providing free, one-on-one support to veterans of the U.S. military and their families, including the National Guard and Reserves. PHV also helps veterans who are in search of educational opportunities, training initiatives, and employment in the Greater Pittsburgh region.
