TRAuma Care In a Rucksack (TRACIR)

Title: Trauma Care in a Rucksack (TRACIR)

Principal Investigator: Ron Poropatich, MD

Supporting Agency: Department of Defense - Combat Casualty Care

Project Goals: We propose to develop an autonomous diagnosis and management platform for treating cardiorespiratory insufficiency using first porcine models of hemorrhagic shock, trauma patient data during air transport and human volunteers during lower body negative pressure chamber challenges.

Specific Aims:

Aim 1 - Screening of non-invasive cardiovascular biosignals in hemorrhagic shock pig model with concurrent development of fluid and drug infusion algorithms using machine learning.

Aim 2 - Link into the above with Stat MedEvac clinical data lower body negative pressure chamber (LBNP) studies.

See the CRUISE Video below regarding TRACIR.
