University of Pittsburgh student, Premkumar Chandrasekar, presented a poster at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) Comprehensive Student Training Session. Premkumar's USUHS faculty sponsors are Dzung Pham, PhD and Yuan-Chiao Lu, PhD. His research poster is titled Longitudinal Analysis of Ventricle Size in Athletes with Sports-Related Traumatic Brain Injury MRI Data.

On October 13, 2022, Drs. Mark Kortepeter and Laura Brosch of Uniformed Services University (USU) visited the University of Pittsburgh's Center for Military Medicine Research and School of Public Health to outline opportunities and partnerships between the University of Pittsburgh and the research programs at USU. Drs. Kortepeter and Brosch met with School of Public Heath Dean, Maureen Lichtveld, Associate Dean for Research Jeanine M. Buchanich, and Ernesto T. Marques, MD, PhD, Associate Professor, Infectious Diseases and & Microbiology to discuss current research topics.
