Premkumar's USUHS faculty sponsors are Dzung Pham, PhD and Yuan-Chiao Lu, PhD. His research poster is titled Longitudinal Analysis of Ventricle Size in Athletes with Sports-Related Traumatic Brain Injury MRI Data.

The University of Pittsburgh's Center for Military Medicine Research and collaborators at the McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine and School of Pharmacy's Program and Evaluation Research Unit attended the 2023 Military Health System Research Symposium at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Kissimmee FL from August 14-17, 2023. The booth was packed with meetings throughout the week to share how the University of Pittsburgh is addressing key military medicine research needs for the Department of Defense.
