The University of Pittsburgh's Trauma and Transfusion Medical Research Center hosted their first annual HERETIC Symposium!

The University of Pittsburgh's Trauma and Transfusion Medical Research Center hosted their first annual HEmostatic REsuscitation and Trauma Induced Coagulopathy (HERETIC) Symposium at the Wyndham Pittsburgh University Center on October 11-12, 2022. The Center for Military Medicine Research was a co-host of the event and our Director, Dr. Ron Poropatich presented on Trauma Care in a Rucksack and was a moderator for the Department of the Defense session focused on DoD needs in the trauma care space. Drs. Philip Spinella and Matthew Neal were the co-hosts from the Trauma and Transfusion Medical Research Center who put the agenda and program together. The meeting hosted 12 sponsors along with over 170 participants from across the United States and parts of Canada all interested in the future of trauma care.
